Travelers Aid is open with limited staffing and program availability.
The Travelers Aid main office will be open from 8:30 to 4:00, Monday through Friday (Please note distribution hours vary - please check the Distribution Hours Page to determine the hours for all programs - not all programs distribute up until 4:00). The Greyhound location will remain closed until further notice.
PLEASE NOTE: All clients entering the office must have a face mask per state mandate. EFFECTIVE 8/17/20: BANDANAS, GAITER MASKS OR N-95 MASKS WITH VENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Travelers Aid can provide clients enrolled in programs with a free face mask should they need one.
Clinic distribution will take place between 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock only.
Please note that some programs will remain suspended until further notice, depending on the availability of funding and partner agency operational status. If you have questions regarding the status of your program, please call (412)281-5474 and dial 0.
The Travelers Aid Medical Assistance Transportation Program, has resumed operations. Travelers Aid can once again process bus ticket orders through the mail. Clients in need of this service can call (412) 281-5474 and dial 0. Please dial 0 when calling as your previous contact may not be in the office.
The Travelers Aid Clinic program has also resumed operations. Clients can check with their clinic or call (412)281-5474 regarding the distribution schedule.
Travelers Aid will practice the CDC recommendations regarding social distancing. Please consult your medical provider should you have virus symptoms. We appreciate your patience as transactions may take longer than usual.

TRAVELERS AID OF PITTSBURGH is a non-profit, United Way agency which provides social service programs to individuals in need of transit assistance. The only organization of its kind in Western Pennsylvania, Travelers Aid works with public and private entities to offer a plethora of transportation options for various populations.
Through contracts with the Department of Human Services in Allegheny County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as partnerships with a number of other departments, foundations and community providers, Travelers Aid assists with travel for 7,500 clients and nearly 3.5 million trips per year. This model is currently being employed in over 101 locations in Allegheny County with a total enrollment of over 40,000 low-income individuals and families.
