Travelers Aid - Pittsburgh | How to Help

Therapy and treatment are crucial to the growth and wellbeing
of individuals with mental health and dependency issues.  
The BHTP is a valuable service that gives consumers of such 
programs the opportunity to be well.

· What: Public transportation for those in need of assistance to
various mental health and drug/alcohol rehabilitative services in
Allegheny County.

· Who:  Participants must be in need of public transportation
and reside in Allegheny County.  They must be referred to the
Behavioral Health Transportation Program by a participating
agency and use transportation to attend at least 3 destinations
per week listed in a participant's service plan.  In addition,
participants must live at least ½ mile from at least 1 of the 3
required trips per week.
